Hi, I’m Shawn, owner of Down South Cars here in Lansing, Michigan.

This is a small, indoor, micro dealership built on simple values: honesty, clean vehicles, and zero pressure. I’m an Army Veteran, a proud dad and husband, and a laid-back guy who just enjoys helping people find solid vehicles they can trust.

I have a Bachelor’s in Business and have been running a successful paracord crafting business since 2013. That experience taught me how to treat customers right.  I also learned how to operate a business efficiently which allows me to pass the value on to you. With only 2 or 3 vehicles in stock I am able to offer vehicles at a MUCH lower price than the bigger dealerships.

I specialize in bringing up amazing cars, trucks, and SUVs from the South.  Vehicles that haven’t been through harsh Michigan winters. Most of what we sell comes from Florida or Georgia, with clean titles and low miles. Every vehicle goes through a multi-point inspection, and anything worth mentioning is always clearly disclosed.

This isn’t a flashy dealership with a hundred cars. It’s just me, my computer, a small indoor showroom, and a genuine interest in helping you drive away happy. Whether you're buying your first SUV, upgrading for your growing family, or just want something reliable without the rust, I’d love to help.
